Well, the doula workshop weekend was a success! It was informative, intense, and emotional. We had a section yesterday on pregnancy loss/stillbirths and that was emotional for all. In general, I felt like I already knew a lot of the information presented, however, the trainer was really good at demonstrating how to put "book knowledge" into practice. There was a half day dedicated to hands-on application of comfort measures. It was somewhat exhausting as the conference was a total of 20 hours. I think my fatigue was exacerbated by the 1.5 hour drive each way every day. Since I'm still nursing I did not have the luxury of spending the weekend in a hotel. However, I did have the luxury of coming home each night to a glass of wine and gourmet meal prepared by my amazing husband. After being away for 12 hours, that was a welcome sight!
Here are a couple of photos that Dan took over the weekend. The first is a little out of focus, but I thought it was funny. Indi is wearing Jude's t-shirt and it looks like it might be wet? It'll be interesting to get the story on this! The next one is of Jude. Looks like the kids were pretty happy around here with their daddy!

Wow, sounds like an intense training session!! Kudos to Dan on the gourmet dinner & wine... sounds like just the ticket. Love the pics. Indi cracks me up in the sunglasses. :)
