His school is all about teaching kids to be givers, so they have a tradition where the birthday kid brings a gift for the school for all the kids to enjoy. Jude chose the books, Pepper Goes to School and Franklin Goes to School. Indi was able to join in with the kids' activities which she loved! Jude loved having her there.
Watching all the activity:
Today, for Jude's actual birthday, we let him choose the special activity that he would like to do to celebrate. [We are planning to have a "real" party for him in a few weeks, but today was a special celebration where our family focused on him.] He choose to ride the train at the zoo.
One handsome Daddy:
When we got home, he opened presents. Unfortunately, all of the pictures I took were out of focus. These were the best two.
Indigo got a gift as well, so she wouldn't feel left out.
Then it was on to cupcakes. You may remember this blog post about how much my kids love cupcakes.
The grand finale -- blowing out the candles.
I am so blessed to be the mother of this sweet boy. Happy Birthday, Jude! We love you!
Oh, Happy Birthday Jude!! It's clear just how much you fill your parents' hearts. May you have a year filled with loves, blessings and surprises! Sarah = )

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteDo you know about the Austin Ethiopia adoption group? If you go into yahoo groups and search for Austin Ethiopia adoption you should find it.
I think San Antonio has a group as well.
We would be happy to meet and talk about Ethiopia adoption, our favorite subject!
