Play Dough

Edited to add:  I use the top recipe on the site that I linked to and I knead the playdoh in my bread maker.  I'm a slacker, I know...

Today Jude and I made playdough while Indi napped.  I love doing things with Jude that we both enjoy. For instance, imaginative play is something that Jude enjoys, but me... not so much.  Don't get me wrong, watching Jude when he is immersed in imaganitive play warms my heart.  It's so magical.  Watching is the operative word, however.  Playing make believe tow-truck is, well, not something that is entirely exciting whether I'm assigned the role of the tow truck operator or the stranded driver.

So, when Jude suggested that we make play dough today, I was more than happy to oblige.  The results:

I posted this recipe last summer, but it is so awesome, I'll post it again!  It's the best playdough ever!  Except that I don't add the vanilla for fragrance.  It just gets to be a little sickening after awhile.

Thanks for all the great comments on lunch ideas!  Who would have known that I'm the only mom not making pita pizzas?!  I've never even thought of it!  I received lots of great lunch ideas!  Thank you all!  I appreciate it very much!

  3. I usually get to be Princess Leah, or Wonder Woman... because Oscar is big into superheros. I have to admit, it kind of melts my heart when Oscar calls me Princess Leah.
