Another Update!

Are you guys tired of all the updates yet?

I first want to say thank you to those who have left comments or sent emails offering your support and encouragement and to all who have offered up prayers on our behalf. THANK YOU!

I cannot tell you how much the support from others in the adoption community has meant to our family. We are so incredibly blessed to to be on this journey with you and to have had the opportunity to follow your journeys as we build our families through adoption. You have inspired us, guided us, and taught us so much. THANK YOU!

So, here's where we stand in terms of Evie's visa situation.

The congressman confirmed that the I-600A was posted to the Embassy database. We will call the Embassy late Monday night (Tues morning in ETH) to see if it's there. If it's not, the congressman's office will contact the Embassy directly to try to sort it out. They were very confident that it would be resolved by our Embassy date on Feb 22nd. Our agency director seemed fine with us traveling given that we appear to be close to resolving this.

We are planning to leave on Tuesday as scheduled. We are hoping and praying that we will receive confirmation on Monday night that our approval is indeed there. It would be really great to not have to deal with this mess while in country.

We're feeling optimistic that this will all work out.
