For My Two Babies

Handmade Beginnings is such a lovely book for sewing for little ones.  So far, I've completed three  projects from this book for the baby who will soon join our family.  This time, I decided to work on something for the girl I currently call my baby.

The projects in this book generally go up to size 18-24 months.  Even though Evie is over 2 and wears a size 2T, this dress was a perfect fit.

She's getting to be so grown up.  She has no trouble keeping up with her older siblings.  Or telling them "No!" while wagging her finger when they get out of line.

But, she's still my baby.

I also made this miniature version for our baby who is coming soon.

It's so much easier to make two dresses at once, especially being I'm quite in love with this fabric line.

  1. Oh, my. Such a sweet, sweet dress. You need to start an Etsy shop. You have such a gift. :)

  2. Ah, this dress turned out so well. It looks very sweet on your girlie.

I FINALLY checked my older blog post comments for moderation and found yours. You're set as a no-reply blogger, so I've come here to respond...

Thanks so much for the compliments and for sharing. I agree that math/accounting majors probably tend toward crafting. It's an excellent release and a great opportunity to use some of those detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills. Not to mention math. I definitely use it all the time when trying to devise and change patterns.

Well, I'm off to check out some of your other projects. Thanks for stopping by!
