Winter Magic

Last August, Jude auditioned for our city's children's choir.  And while they do let everyone in and the audition is more for choir placement, it still took courage on his part to sing alone in front of a complete stranger, knowing he was being evaluated.  (That audition was no joke!)

For the last four months, Jude has attended a weekly, one-hour practice.  He has had lyrics to memorize during the week.  He didn't complain once.  And all of his hard work paid off.

Today was the choirs' Winter Magic concert.  All of the (five or so) choirs with kids ranging in age from 7-18 were performing.  Then they had a few songs with all of the choirs together.  In addition to fabulous pianists accompanying the choirs, there were also (for certain songs) hand drums, a tone chime choir, and a cello!   The kids spent most of yesterday morning rehearsing, getting all the details perfected, and wow, the performance was impeccable.   I was amazing by what these kids could do!  It was so moving.

So, without further ado, here's Jude, looking so dapper and handsome (if I do say so myself!) in his formal uniform!
