Old Friends

"Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.”

There is something so special about old friends. I am always surprised that even when I go a year [or more!] without seeing an old friend, when we finally do get together, it's as if we haven't missed a beat.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see my former college roomate, Leah and her husband, Dave while here in WI. They came over last night and spent the evening with us. It was so fabulous to spend time with them, see how their children had grown, and to meet their new baby.

  1. Oh, I'm so stinkin behind!! Rachel, your comments just always boost my spirits soooooo sooooo much....thank you thank you; don't know how I got so lucky to "meet ya" along this journey, but I'm so very glad that I did!!

AND your trip sounds nothing short of wonderful! I love that your chickadees will understand that important connection to farming and the food we eat...not to mention a healthy respect for land and all the work involved in running a farm!

And your able to reconnect with old and dear friends....I KNOW how vital and important that is to the soul!

Okay, I sound crazy now, but just know I'm thinking of you and so happy you have this time with friends and family. Safe travels home!!!

The photos are wonderful...they always are!! Such a beautiful family!
    Hugs,
    Lisa
